Case Study · Precast Concrete

How we rescued a hacked website — and rebuilt Glacier Precast for growth.

Glacier Precast Concrete came to us after an out-of-state agency left their site vulnerable and hacked, locked behind proprietary plugins it couldn't run without. We rebuilt the entire website fast to protect their rankings — and it hasn't had an issue since.

The client

A Montana manufacturer that needed a partner it could trust.

Glacier Precast Concrete is a Kalispell-based precast concrete manufacturer serving contractors, builders, and project owners across the region. Their website is a real part of how customers find them and request quotes — so when it broke, it cost them.

The challenge

Inherited: a hacked site locked behind an agency's proprietary plugins.

Glacier Precast first reached out because they were struggling with an out-of-state agency and wanted someone to take over maintenance and basic updates. But the situation ran deeper than routine upkeep.

The previous agency had built proprietary WordPress plugins the site couldn’t function without — and those plugins introduced security vulnerabilities that led to the site being hacked. The site was effectively held hostage by the very code meant to run it. Patching wasn’t the answer; the foundation itself was the problem.

What we did

A fast, clean rebuild — then a platform built to grow.

We moved quickly to protect their rankings, then expanded from a stable foundation.

STEP 01

Diagnosed the real problem

What came in as a maintenance request turned out to be a compromised site locked into proprietary plugins. We recognized that no amount of patching would fix a foundation designed to fail without the previous agency's code.

STEP 02

Rebuilt and relaunched — fast

To minimize downtime and protect years of search rankings, we rebuilt the entire site in a short window on a clean, standard WordPress foundation — no proprietary lock-in, no inherited vulnerabilities — and launched it in spring 2025 with minimal disruption. It has run without a single issue since.

STEP 03

Improved SEO positioning

With a fast, stable foundation in place, we improved their search positioning and kept their organic visibility climbing.

STEP 04

Managed Google Ads

We took over and managed their Google Ads to capture high-intent demand alongside their organic growth.

STEP 05

Built a segmented email list

We helped them build an email list segmented to their different customer types, so the right message reaches the right audience.

STEP 06

Captured photo & video

We produced photography and video assets for the website and their broader marketing — real images of their products and work, not stock.

STEP 07

Expanding into neighboring markets

With the foundation paying off, we're now working to extend their reach into neighboring Montana markets.

The result

A stable foundation that keeps paying off.

Since the spring 2025 rebuild, Glacier Precast’s website has run without a single issue — no vulnerabilities, no downtime, no lock-in. On that stable foundation, their traffic has kept growing, with double-digit organic growth in its peak months, and paid and organic search now work together to bring in qualified leads.

With photo and video assets telling their story and a segmented email list nurturing each customer type, we’re now focused on expanding their reach into neighboring markets.
